Our special guest was Susie Helton, Director of the Refugee Sewing Society in Clarkston, GA. Susie lead our women and girls in a simulation, giving us the experience of the loss a woman may experience as she has to flee her country because of war, famine, or violence. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and learning… and we got to look at, and purchase, some of the crafts and sewing of refugee women in Clarkston.
